Description

Future of energy and the Hunter

The Hunter region has a long and proud energy history. The Australian energy industry however is in transition, and moving towards a carbon constrained future. This includes the announcement that Liddell and Bayswater power stations will close in 2022 and 2035 respectively. This transition will bring challenges for regions like the Upper Hunter.

It is critical that business, government, educational institutions and local communities work in partnership to minimise the impact, and maximise the opportunities, of the energy transition.

The HRF Centre's independent and unique economic insights are drawn from surveys of businesses and consumers in the Upper Hunter. Find out how these insights can be applied to your business planning for 2017.

Join 120+ guests at our second breakfast for 2017 featuring:

Future of energy and electricity generation in the Hunter
