Upper Body Horizontal and Vertical Pull Workshop For The General Population

Duration: 60-75 minutes

Registration Numbers: Number will be strictly limited to 4 attendees

Osteopath: Heath Williams / Strength & Conditioning Coach (Level 2 ASCA)

Learning Outcomes:

  • Review the upper body pull movements (seated row, single arm row, lat pull down, chin up, straight arm pull down)

  • Review common errors associated with the upper body pull exercises

  • Review the warm up and movement preparation phase prior to undertaking upper body pull movements i.e. preparing the neck, back and shoulder girdles for training

Includes:

  • Flexibility and mobility techniques for the neck, shoulder and spine

  • Movement preparation exercises relating to the shoulder girdle

  • Upper body pull technique review & practical

  • Accessory work for the upper body pull movements, focusing on shouler gridle i.e. traps, rotator cuff

Who should attend:

  • Anyone who is currently undertaking regular resistance training who incorporates upper body pulling movements i.e. chin ups, lat pull down, seated row, single arm row, straight arm pull down in their program will benefit from attending this seminar

  • Individuals who are struggling with progressing their pull movements and would like some strategies to implement to get past their plateau

  • Individuals who find that upper body pulling movements can irritate their shoulder and would like to learn some strategies to implement to work around their complaint

  • Created for beginners or intermediate training experience

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Principle Four Osteopathy is located at Level 4, 178 Collins St, Melbourne 3000. There is limited street parking (1 hour duration) available. 2 hour parks are available on Russel st towards Lonsdale St. We would recommend catching public transport and walking to our clinic.


What can I bring into the event?

Please wear clothing that is appropriate for exercise. Bring a water bottle and any questions that you might have relating to the bench press.
