Event description

Description

As you may know, a new drug and alcohol rehabilitation service will be established at the Eastern View Community Care Unit in Stawell Street, Eureka.

The Minister for Mental Health, Martin Foley MP and the Department of Health and Human Services are committed to keeping you up to date with plans for establishing the service with information sessions being held in June and September this year.

At the September 2017 session, attendees heard from the appointed service provider, Windana Alcohol and Drug Recovery. Windana is an established Victorian provider of drug and alcohol treatment services and answered questions about the program that they deliver to help people develop new skills and make positive lifestyle changes.

The Department of Health and Human Services will be running a third information session for local residents on 5 December with a focus on refurbishment works that will commence at the site in Stawell Street from early 2018.

We invite you to attend this session at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (theatre room), 102 Stawell St South, on Tuesday 5 December from 6.00pm to 7.00pm

The sessions will provide an opportunity to hear about the plans for the site and ask questions.
