Up Armidale Road is the culmination of two years shooting and production (with thanks to the South Grafton Community Bendigo Bank), chronicling a unique collaboration between the community of Nymboida, songwriters Grace and Hugh, and the musicians of the Clarence Valley Conservatorium.
This journey to a song takes place in the aftermath of the firestorm that decimated Nymboida in November 2019. All are welcome to the screening, and please - if someone you know fought the fires, donated, or contributed to the recovery effort, spread the word and invite them along. This film is a celebration of the creativity and resilience of the Nymboida community, and a thankyou to all those who helped - throughout the duration of that fire season and in the continuing aftermath.
