Event description

Description

UNSW is offering a 1 day face-to-face study workshop in Biology to assist Year 12 students in preparing their HSC exam. Students will also be provided with online study resources which they can study at their own time.

The aim of this workshop is provide students with the skills to give their best response to HSC questions in science. Students will undertake a deep analysis of 6 HSC questions (two from each core module) from the viewpoint of a HSC marker. They will relate each question to the syllabus and learn how the marking guidelines differentiate student responses. They will act as HSC markers using the marking guidelines to score scripts and to reflect upon their own response to questions. In this way, students will be better equipped to provide high-value, clearly structured responses to HSC questions.

The program is brought to you by the Faculty of Science at UNSW and will be presented by experienced HSC science teachers and those who have been involved in the HSC marking process.
