Event description

Description

The UNSW Division of Research will shortly host a seminar for students and early-career researchers looking to undertake a Masters, PhD or Post-Doctoral degree in Germany. We will be joined by speakers from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), who are travelling to Australia specifically to discuss the DAAD’s programme and funding opportunities for ECRs looking to take the next step in their research career.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the world’s largest funding organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers, funding over 100,000 persons per year. Since its foundation in 1925, DAAD has funded over 2 million scholars around the globe.

This event is suitable for students, graduates and professionals and will cover the different options available (graduate studies, doctoral, junior researcher, postdoctoral, visiting scientist and others) for enhancing your academic career in Germany.

Find out more about:
• Masters and PhD programmes- different paths to achieving your goal
• Grant programmes- how you can apply for and receive grants
• Funding opportunities- there are several options available in the German research environment
• Practical advice- all you need to know about moving to and living in Germany

Speakers:
