Creative Arts Lecture by Paula Silbert

We invite members of WAFTA and non-members to attend this amazing opportunity to learn from the very best in creative professional development in the fabulous surroundings of the brand new Perth City Library Lecture Theatre.

Paula Silbert's lecture will cover:

‐ Is it me or did the whole arts fabric just change?

‐ My work’s great and my studio’s fabulous, do I need a gallery, an agent or a mentor?

‐ My 20/20 Vision

About Paula Silbert

Paula Silbert possesses the bright eyes and battle scars that come from a life lived in the creative industries.

She has advised directors of state galleries and museums, kick-started a world class Fringe Festival, curated enduring corporate art collections and public art, and provided sturdy steps and building blocks for a variety of government cultural policies.

Mentoring, marketing, media and management are her passion and service to the galaxy, along with her unique practitioner up-skilling workshops.

Thanks to her radio program Smart Arts™ broadcast on Australian radio networks, thousands of arts events have captured immense and absorbent audiences.

Paula is dedicated to power-walking corporate leaders, sponsors and arts practitioners towards their zenith, one creative stride at a time.


WAFTA members are eligible Early Bird and Regular concession rates.

The lecture will be delivered in two parts with a short tea break in between.

#1 Do I have to be a WAFTA member to attend this workshop?

All WAFTA events are generally for WAFTA members only unless otherwise stated above. If you would like to join WAFTA please complete a membership application and payment - Membership is $50 (conc.$40) per financial year payable by PayPal. Once we have confirmed receipt of your payment you will be eligible for WAFTA member concession rates.

#2 Do you have a waiting list if this workshop is fully booked?

Yes, if the workshop is full up please do register your name on our waiting list through Eventbrite. Should a participant be unable to attend, due to unforseen circumstances, this will enable us to release their ticket to the first available person on the waiting list. An email notification will be sent to you via Eventbrite with instructions on completing your transaction. You will need to have a confirmed WAFTA membership to be eligible.

#3 What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There are several car parks within a short walk of the Library. Public transport by bus or train is available within a 10 minute walk, and the Red CAT stops close by the Library on Hay Street. Visit Transperth to plan your journey.

#5 What's the refund policy?

Please consider your participation in this event carefully. We can only offer a refund if it is possible to find another WAFTA member to take your place. Tickets are not transferable by the purchaser. Please contact events@waftacom.au in the event you are unable to attend and we will do our best to find a replacement from our waiting lists or the wider membership.
