Unpacking the Indian Lunchbox with Cooking Circles
Tue. 4 April 2017, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm AEST
Inviting all women and girls aged 15+ Join us to discover the secrets of the famous Indian lunch box (tiffin or dabba) delivered by 1,000’s of dabbawallahs each day to office workers, fresh from their home kitchens!
Shafique, who delighted us last year with the secrets of Bangladeshi cuisine, will this year teach us the essentials of what goes in to these lunchboxes each day. We will then be able to recreate these healthy simple meals at home.
This time we will be cooking and eating lentil vegetable rice, wholemeal roti flat bread cooked in the tandoor oven and chicken kadai.
We will also be hosted at Shafique and Farhana’s new southside Joy Indian Restaurant in Erindale.
Do grab a ticket for you and your friends and family.
All women and girls aged 15 years and over are welcome!
