Uniting Conversations - “A Good Climate for Change”
Date and time
A chance to better understand the impacts of climate change and learn what we can do to mitigate and adapt.
About this event
As the impacts of climate change are being felt more acutely, it is more important than ever to better understand likely future impacts and, more importantly, what we can do as individuals and local communities to mitigate and adapt. Please come along to discuss key issues with a panel of experts working on climate related issues in different professional spheres and meet like-minded people in your local community.
Panellists:
Ariella Helfgott: Lives in Marino and is the Director of Strategic Foresight in the Department of Premier and Cabinet. She has expertise in scenario analysis, strategic thinking and resilience and has applied this while working for the World Energy Council, the University of Oxford and the Australian Department of Defence, among others.
Nina Keith: Is responsible for climate resilience at City of Onkaparinga. Her early career at Monash University was spent researching the ingredients required for transitioning towards more sustainable practices. Since returning to SA, she has relished the opportunity to apply social theory and watch it work in the real world.
