Event description

Description

On the 4th March, Unbound (formerly Laika Academy) are hosting a Clubs & Societies Leadership Training and we'd love to invite two representations from your club to attend.

The full-day training will feature a series of hands-on workshops, interactive activities and skill building exercises specifically designed to support your club’s success and enhance new membership engagement after O-Week. These activities also aim to support you in designing effective member projects/programs for the year ahead - helping you to build and maintain club enthusiasm. These include (but are not limited to):

> Building an Amazing Club Community: Attracting and Maintaining Great Members
> Fundraising and Sponsorships - Securing funding for your club
> How to Run Awesome Energisers and Games
> Organising and Strategy - Planning for Success
> Designing Innovative Projects and Programs
> Creative Facilitation Skills
> Effective Communication
> Collaborating like a Pro

This event will also uniquely;
a). bring together club leaders from a range of different universities —enhancing opportunities to collaborate and build alliances with other clubs across Victoria.
b). adopt an un-conference approach to ideas sharing and knowledge transfer whereby club leaders can offer their own workshops during the course of the day.

STUDENT-LED WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY

This event will feature various breakout sessions where club leaders are invited to host their own 30 minute workshop to share their knowledge and skills with a wider audience. This workshop may cover any topic loosely related to club and society leadership. Previous examples include: Developing resilience & dealing with failure; how to run an engaging market stall; and how to nail public speaking. There are no restrictions on the style of presentation or format - so get creative! This means anything from a powerpoint presentation to an informal storytelling session to a hands-on game is welcome.

If you're keen to run a 30 minute workshop on the day, please submit your idea on the Registration page. Successful workshop facilitators will be notified on the 23rd of Feb.
