Event description

Description

An exciting opportunity for PL at Edith Cowan University, Bunbury.

(This workshop will be repeated on 16 Nov - please enrol for just one of the days.)

A workshop for primary teachers, during which the CSER project officer for WA, Steven Payne, will introduce the CSER digital technologies programs, work through some of the activities and explain how they can support your school.

In this session we will cover a general overview of the WA Digital Technologies curriculum (Pre-Primary - Year 6) and why we are teaching it, including great examples of how teachers are integrating the new subject area into their lessons.

In this workshop we will have a particular focus on algorithms and visual programming - and how these can be taught with and without computers.

This is a hands-on workshop, please bring a laptop or tablet.

Free parking and lunch is included.

This presentation is suitable for primary school leaders, teachers, and pre-service teachers.

We invite you to use our free resources to support your school professional learning and curriculum implementation of Digital Technologies. Information at: http://csermoocs.adelaide.edu.au
