Understanding the Caring Journey and the Carer Star (Katoomba)

Wellways Carer Gateway is pleased to invite you to join us for Understanding the Caring Journey and the Carer Star.

This workshop will be led by one of our experienced Carer Coaches, who will help you discover more about the common stages in a caring role, sometimes referred to as a caring journey. Explore at the impacts of your carer role on your life, your identity and your plans for the future. We will then discuss the Carer Star - a simple tool that helps you reflect on seven key areas of your life and highlight where support might be helpful. We will walk you through what the Carer Star is, why it matters, and how to complete it.

You will also have the opportunity to meet and connect with other carers who understand the joys and challenges of being a carer. Morning tea and light refreshments will be provided. Please include details of any food allergies or other special dietary requirements with your RSVP.

Please note: This event is open to residents living in South-Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains regions in NSW, Australia only. Participants must also be registered with Carer Gateway (we can assist with new registrations for eligible participants).
