Free places in sector leading training on medication

MHCC is excited to offer fully funded places in the newest course to respond to growing sector need in regards to medication. Understanding Medication takes learners through the historical, ethical, legal and practical requirements of supporting people who may choose to take medication.

Learn how to support choice and control when discussing medication with people you support,
and find the confidence to discuss medication with subscribers and health professionals.

Led by highly respected sector trainers, the course addresses some of the physical and cognitive effects of medications and the laws governing workers’ roles when supporting a person taking medications. The training also draws on the experience of learners in the classroom with engaging activities and interaction. This is essential training for anyone who supports people who may take medication.

Don’t hesitate to snap up this incredible offer of free training from a leading peak body in the field of trauma-informed recovery oriented practice.

NOTE:
If learners would like to gain a nationally-recognised unit of competency to build on certificate qualifications, a fee of $125 is required. (HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication, part of the Certificate IV in Mental Health)

This training is funded by NSW Health.
