1:00pm- 2:30pm - Understanding Dementia

This session provides an introduction to dementia, including an overview of different types of dementia, diagnosis, planning ahead and how to support someone living with dementia. There will be an opportunity to sign up to become a dementia friend.

Suitable for: Family members and carers of people living with dementia and members of the general public who are concerned about their memory and dementia or who are worried that someone they know may have dementia.

2:30pm - 3:00pm - Expo

The Expo will include a visit to our stand with information on upcoming family and carer education sessions, access to the Dementia Australia library and tours of the sensory garden.

We will also have staff available to assist you with IT including useful Apps and how to access information and register for events via the Dementia Australia website, including webinars.

Bookings are essentials as places are limited. Light refreshments with tea and coffee will be provided.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is free on the grounds of the Macquarie Hospital. Street parking is available in nearby streets off Coxs Rd.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have completed your registration we will have your details and forgetting your ticket won’t be a problem.
