Event Details

This presentation will be relevant to bodywork practitioners only.

Over recent years the natural medicine industry has achieved a higher professional status.  Requirements to maintain a professional practice have become more onerous. Your practice has an obligation to provide an environment that focuses on the safety and wellbeing of every client, and that maintains professional client records.

Requirements governing a clinical practice for bodywork practitioners are continually changing.  As a natural medicine business owner, contractor or employee you need to be aware and mindful to not only protect your reputation but also operate within your association requirements.  This requires practitioners to be pro-active in understanding their responsibilities and effectively implementing policies and procedures to protect themselves, reducing legal and practice risks. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet a Life Member/Director.

Presenter:

Maggie has had extensive experience in the natural medicine profession spanning four decades.  Her original training began in 1975 and continued through the 1980's qualifying in Remedial Massage and Naturopathy. She has held a Director position of the Society since 1988 and in 1999 was honoured with ATMS Life Membership. During these years she has continuously served on numerous committees that have assisted to guide the natural medicine industry in Australia.

Maggie is also the founder and owner of the School of Integrated Body Therapy established in 1985 and LakeSpa Wellness Centre located on the Central Coast of NSW. Considerable international success was achieved when Maggie exported massage training to numerous Asian countries during 2002-08. Her long standing passion is to assist others fulfil their personal dreams and grow through bodywork and natural medicine experience and education.  Maggie still travels extensively, is a gifted public speaker and looks forward to meeting and spending time with members and like minded supporters of Natural Medicine.
