Description

Unblock your PhD thinking, with blocks!

Are you feeling 'stuck' with your PhD? If you are trying to write the first draft of a chapter, designing your methodology or figuring out what the whole thing is about and feeling totally blocked, this workshop is for you! This is a one off opportunity to workshop your thesis troubles with a Lego Serious Play workshop, facilitated by lego grand master Dr Stephen Dann. Bring yourself, and your inner child, to this workshop where we will work through a few serious questions about your thesis, by playing with Lego and talking with others. You do not have to have exceptional talent with the blocks, just a willingness to play around and, hopefully, get unblocked. You will score a small Lego prize as a reward for participating. We promise this workshop will serious fun - and maybe seriously helpful.

In this workshop we will:

  • Learn about the lego serious play method as a creative, reflective thinking method.
  • Find out how to use lego to help you explain difficult thesis problems more clearly (helpful for communicating with supervisors), and
  • Improve your ability to tell your research story to others
