Are your children cricket enthusiasts, Perth Scorchers fans, or just keen to get out on the field to have a go? Join in the fun when Peet’s The Villlage at Wellard hosts the FREE Peet Community Fan Day and Ultimate Cricket Workshop in partnership with the Perth Scorchers!
Kids Ultimate Cricket Workshop Information: This FREE workshop is open to children aged between 6 - 13 years, of any skill level with no previous cricket experience required, and all abilities are welcome.
They will learn all there is to know about bowling, batting, fielding and wicket keeping, with Perth Scorchers Club Legend Brad Hogg on hand to give some advice! All participants must register by Thursday 3rd December 2020, as no registrations will be taken on the day. Press the Register button now to get involved as numbers are strictly limited!
Community Fan Day Information: The fun doesn't stop just with the cricket workshop! There will be FREE activities happening all around Wellard Oval for the whole family to get involved in:
- Inflatable Obstacle Course
- Face Painting & Air Brush Tattoos
- Art & Craft Station - Scorchers colouring-in & decorate your own mini cricket bat
- Giant Games
- Perth Scorcher Club Legend Brad Hogg signing autographs (5.30pm - 6pm)
- FREE coffee, pizzas and ice cream, plus Italian donuts available to purchase!

FAQs
My child / children would like to participate in the cricket workshop. What do I need to do, and is it free?
Yes it is free! But you MUST register. Click on the Register button on this page and provide us with your child / children's details. Once registered, we will send you a confirmation email with your ticket(s). Make sure you bring your ticket(s) along with you on the day and make your way to the check-in area at the Peet tent.
Are there age requirements to participate in the cricket workshop?
Yes, participants of the cricket workshop must be between 6 - 13 years old, with all abilities welcome. Just make sure you register your child / children.
People of all ages can get involved in the FREE Community Fan Day activities happening around Wellard Oval on the day - and there is no need to register for the Community Fan Day activities!
What time do I need to arrive?
Registered participants of the cricket workshop need to arrive between 4.00pm - 4.30pm to check in. Please make sure you have your ticket(s) and make your way to the Peet tent where your child / children will receive their wrist band and will be sorted into groups. The cricket workshop will begin at 4.30pm. If you are just coming along for the Community Fan Day activities, the fun begins at 4.00pm and finishes at 7.00pm.
Does my child / children need to bring any equipment to participate in the cricket workshop?
No equipment needed, it will all be provided. Please just make sure your child / children are wearing appropriate active wear and sport shoes. Also don't forget to Slip, Slop, Slap! Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended for everyone to wear, plus bring your water bottles. Peet will also be supplying sunscreen and water.
My child / children are participating in the cricket workshop. What can I and the rest of my family do during this time?
The fun doesn't stop at the cricket workshop! During this time we encourage you to stay and sit in the chill out zone (a marquee with tables and chairs) and watch your children in the cricket workshop. There will be FREE coffee, pizza and ice cream plus lots of FREE activities for the kids like face painting, air brush tattoos, craft station, inflatable obstacle course, plus more!
I would like to bring my whole family to the Community Fan Day, but my child / children do not wish to participate in the cricket workshop. Do I still need to register?
You only need to register your child / children if they are participating in the cricket workshop. Anyone and everyone can come down on the day to enjoy the Community Fan Day and get involved in all the activities happening around the oval.
What if I register my child / children but our plans change and we can no longer attend?
Please email us at perthscorchers@peet.com.au with the name of your child / children who can no longer participate in the cricket workshop.
