Description

NB: This event is a Caulfield Grammar exclusive event. Only students from these two schools can register and attend the workshop.

UCAT, the new UMAT, is an hour shorter, contains an additional 99 questions and is two sections longer than its predecessor. Besides these changes in format, there has been an even more significant change in the question types and the techniques required to solve them. Having predicted the removal of UMAT, iCanMed has already spent years thoroughly dissecting the latest UKCAT exams (the UK version of the UCAT) and is ready to share the mechanics behind how questions are solved correctly and in good time.

In this holiday workshop, we will be:

  • Discussing the similarities, differences (there's a lot of them!) and what that means to your preparation
  • Showing a LIVE demonstration of how sample section 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 UCAT questions are be solved
  • Sharing the biggest 'preparation fails' that will prevent you from achieving a 90th+ percentile result
  • Revealing a preparation timeline designed to maximise your time to ensure UCAT prep minimally impacts school work in 2019

iCanMed is all about making sure that all students receive the best advice, recommendations and strategies for UCAT preparation. With over 600 past students currently studying medicine across medical schools in NZ and Australia, a team of assessment writers, educators and former medical school selectors, learning about the UCAT and gaining acceptance has never been this straightforward.
