Event description

Description

  • Are you currently studying in years 10, 11 or 12?

  • Are you considering a career in medicine OR dentistry?

  • If you have answered yes, then you may need to sit a compulsory entry exam known as UCAT (Undergraduate Clinical and Aptitude Test) before you can apply for cetain universities!

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is proud to present the free information seminar all about UCAT and the undergraduate pathways into medicine and some other health science programs.

  • During this session, we will be covering the following topics:

  • The undergraduate Selection Criteria

  • What is UCAT and how it is different from the old UMAT?

  • When and who can sit the UCAT

  • Preparation methods and avenues for the UCAT

  • Other selection criteria information including the interview process

This forum is an excellent opportunity for students as well as their parents to find out about the UCAT and to have their questions answered by experts who have been working in the undergraduate admission field since 1999.

Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 interested in medicine or dentistry will need to sit the compulsory UCAT (examination) when applying for one of the above career choices. NIE conducts UCAT preparation workshops in all major cities across Australia. More details about this workshops can be found on www.nie.edu.au
