SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITY FOR AGES 5 TO 11 YEARS

Visit the Old Court House Law Museum during the next school holidays.

Our artist-in-residence & storyteller, Jennifer Hill, will provide children with the opportunity to explore this historic site.

Come and hear some the hidden stories of the Old Court House and enter the world of the judge, jury and school room in an imaginative craft activity.

What is 'the case of the boiled egg'?

Why did the Lion fight the Unicorn?

What: Storyteller Jennifer Hill will tell a selection of 3 or 4 short stories relating to the Old Court House, followed by a craft activity for approximately 20 minutes.

When: Tuesday 26 September - Thursday 28 September and Tuesday 3 October - Thursday 5 October 10.30am for a 10.45am start. Children and their carers register at reception on arrival.

Duration: Storytelling 25-30 minutes + 20 minutes craft activity

The Old Court House Law Museum is one of only a few law museums in the world. It is housed in Perth's oldest public building. The Old Court House was constructed in 1836 and provided a venue for many activities - a church, a concert hall, an auction room, a school and a public meeting place.
