Event description

Description

Music is an artform that remains a fundamental aspect of our lifestyle. This July, the Red Box at the State Library of Queensland will come to life with a series of intimate twilight concerts starring instrumental and choral performers from The University of Queensland School of Music including Pulse Chamber Orchestra and UQ Chamber Singers.

Curated by renowned cellist Patrick Murphy and inspired by the State Library’s theme of Lifestyle, Twilight in the Red Box showcases music by celebrated Australian and international composers from then and now. Featuring luminaries Giacomo Puccini, Igor Stravinsky, Adrian Willaert, and Colin Brumby, these concerts will reflect on how day-to-day life has evolved and what it means to create meaningful lives in a rapidly changing and increasingly global community.

Be transported through time in an evening of stunning music, set against the backdrop of our beautiful Brisbane City. Limited tickets available.
