Event description

Twilight Experience, David Fleay Wildlife Park

These school holidays—for two nights only—David Fleay Wildlife Park opens after dark for an awe-inspiring Jellurgal Aboriginal cultural performance, Park Ranger presentation and wildlife spotlight tour.

Discover one of the oldest living cultures in the world together with The Yugambeh Aboriginal dance troupe—as they take you on a mesmerising journey of storytelling, song and dance.

Get up-close with some furry, scaly or feathered friends in the Park Ranger presentation, before exploring the magic of the wildlife park after dark by spotlight to see what Australian animals get up to at night.

The Traditional Custodians of the Gold Coast will share with you a Welcome to Country ceremony, demonstrate Aboriginal fire lighting practices, and perform stories of their sacred land and rich heritage.

Twilight Experience Performers

The Nocturnal House will be a hive of activity with platypus, gliders and bilbies out and about. Look out for the red eyes of the crocodiles in the waterhole and wander through the forest to see koalas feeding in the trees.

Our knowledgeable Park Rangers will share with you the conservation legacy of Dr David Fleay whose passion was to put animals first and create an environment that’s as close to nature as possible.
