Description

Twelfth Night

Shakespeare by the Lakes II features "Twelfth Night", directed by acclaimed Shakespeare actor Christopher Stollery. It is brought to you by Lakespeare & Co., an innovative, independent theatre company, taking family friendly, FREE Shakespeare to public places around Canberra. Over 4000 people came to see our 2018 season and 2019 promises to be bigger and better!

Entertainment from 6:00 pm on Saturday 23rd February in Glebe Park.

This season is supported by the newly renovated Diplomat Hotel. When your friends visit encourage them to stay at the Diplomat. Our Glebe Park Shows are supported by the ACT Government under the City Renewal Authority’s City Grants program.

Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare's most entertaining comedies. Not just a love triangle, it's a Love Octa-gone wrong as a pair of twins double the trouble for a dozen dazzling characters as they try to plot a shipwrecked course on that path that never did run smooth.

Featuring high-quality acting from Canberrans and a festive atmosphere, Twelfth Night is not to be missed. Get your group together and bring your picnic blankets and baskets for a great lunch for farmily and friends! (There is a chair zone if you need it). Please bring hats and suncreeen!

Vendors for this show include: The Pop Inn, Canberra Bagel Van, My Sweet Alice for delightful coffee, and the Cannoli Brothers.

Food from 5.00pm and outstanding entertainment from 6:00pm. Please book your ticket now.

Our E-Program is now online: www.SBTL2019.online. This year it's entirely FREE, too. It is packed with information about the amazing cast and production team.

For a special special night out, you can book a Super Shakespeare Supporters package which will include food, wine and a front row blanket spot. You might even get to be part of the show (if you like).
