Event description

Description

TheTweed Estuary Management Plan will be on public exhibition from 2 September to 31 October 2019.

There will be two ‘community conversation’ sessions, at Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads where staff will be available to discuss the plan and river management with the community.

These sessions will include a presentation, group discussion and a Q & A session with opportunities to ask questions.

The purpose of putting the plan on public exhibition is to ensure that the community is aware that the estuary management plan exists and understands its purpose. It also provides the community with an opportunity to review the plan’s objectives and actions.

Council is seeking feedback on the plan, including suggestions of how the plan could be improved to better manage the Tweed River, now and into the future.

During the exhibition period, copies of the plan will be available on Council’s website, Your Say Tweed page, and hard copies will be available at Council libraries and offices.
