If you are tutoring online this Semester, then this will be the best workshop to attend.

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Understand the expectations of the role of tutor.
  • Apply a basic knowledge of learning theory to your teaching.
  • Establish a friendly, collaborative learning environment.
  • Employ teaching strategies to engage students virtually/ face to face.
  • Manage different challenges that may be faced virtually/ face to face.

The session will be conducted online using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

Please be aware that these tutor professional development sessions are designed for tutors in the schools within the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Education. While everyone is welcome to attend, other workshops available through the EEU may be more suitable to your teaching requirements.
