Tuning into Toddlers 7- Week Parenting Program

"Help your toddler manage big feelings! Learn emotion coaching strategies to build connection and confidence in parenting."

Tuning in to Toddlers (TOTOL) is an evidence-based, emotion-focused parenting program designed for parents and carers of toddlers aged 12–36 months. This program helps you respond to your toddler’s emotional needs, strengthen your connection, and set them up for life with skills to safely express and manage emotions.


Program Content Includes:

  • Understanding toddler development, emotional intelligence, and why it matters.
  • Recognising and responding to your toddler’s emotions.
  • Use children’s emotional expressions as an opportunity to connect and teach
  • Expand your language for describing and responding to emotions
  • Calming strategies for everyday life.
  • Problem-solving and limit-setting with empathy.


What to Expect:

Dates: 7 interactive sessions, every Monday from 9th of February to 30th of March 2026 (Please note: No session on 9th of March due to public holiday)

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Venue: Brooklyn Community Hall, 22 Cypress Ave, Brooklyn VIC 3012

Cost: Free

Who can attend: Parents and carers living in the Western suburbs of Melbourne with toddlers aged 12–36 months.

Refreshments provided

On-site Childminding available so you can fully participate in the sessions.

We warmly welcome people of all genders, sexualities, educational backgrounds and walks of life. All workshops are safe, non-judgmental spaces for learning and will be facilitated accordingly

Only available to parents, carers and grandparents living in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Participants must reside in one of the following local government areas: Brimbank City Council, City of Melbourne, Hobsons Bay City Council, Maribyrnong City Council, Melton City Council, Moonee Valley City Council, and Wyndham City Council.
