Storytime at Orange City Library is lots of fun. We read stories, sing songs, play games and make craft. They are held during the school term and cater for preschool children and their carers. Storytime is free and each session lasts approximately one hour. Tuesday’s programme (book and craft) is repeated on Wednesday and Thursday.

We regret that our numbers are limited. If Storytime is full when you attempt to book please enjoy some of the wonderful online stories available through StoryBox Library.

The story reader begins promptly at 11 am. Please be early and have your child settled for the stories to begin.

** COVID-19 GUIDELINES **

• We welcome participants to our Storytimes and remind them that they are required to adhere to COVID-19 Public Health Orders. We are sure you are aware that the situation is changeable and we recommend you visit NSW Health for the current orders.
• Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Storytime has a limited number of places for participants in each session. Participants are children AND their parents/carers but excludes children under 12 months of age, in arms/stroller. You must book a place for each member of your party.
• If you or your child are sick, please do not attend.
• Spaces are very limited. If you cannot attend please cancel via Eventbrite, so that your spot can be offered to those on the waitlist.
• Hand sanitisers must be used upon entry.
• Pencils/glue/scissors are not to be shared and will be collected and sanitised by staff after each session.
• Social distancing guidelines of 1.5m must be respected. Parents/carers are responsible for preventing the children in their care from breaching these guidelines.
• Participants who do not follow these guidelines will be asked to leave the session by Library Staff.

Terms and conditions:

• Your attendance at events supported by Central West Libraries may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council’s websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
• Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
• Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
