FAQs

What is the Triple A (Adolescent Asthma Action) program all about?

Triple A (Adolescent Asthma Action) is the first peer-led education program to improve the health and wellbeing of students with asthma. By using an innovative student-centred approach, students become the drivers of both the teaching and learning processes. Triple A is an evidence-based, peer education program that aims to:

  • Improve asthma self-management of adolescents
  • Promote the resilience of high school students to resist peer pressure to smoke and/or vape
  • Improve the educational outcomes of high school students
  • Enable adolescents to promote smoke free environments

Who can register?

Current university students from the faculties of Public Health, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health and Education. However, the program is open to all university students who have an interest in adolescent health.

A 'Working with Children's Check' (WWC) is required. Information on how to apply can be found here, https://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/child-safe-organisations/working-with-children-check

I'm really interested however I'm not able to attend the full duration of the training day. Can I still register?

Unfortunately not, as you are required to attend the full day.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
