Event description

Description

The Town of Victoria Park Library and the City of South Perth Libraries invite you to this unique presentation. The evening will begin at 6pm when international cycling adventurer, author, photographer and inspirational speaker Jeremy Scott mingles with guests. At 6.30pm he will give his presentation accompanied by stunning photographs and maps of his journey. Following questions from guests, Jeremy will be available for book sales and signing.

About Jeremy & his Journey

Jeremy is a highly entertaining and inspirational speaker who never fails to deliver. From Australia to Britain, New Zealand to Singapore, the demand for his services as a speaker are high. Through his own incredible experiences, Jeremy highlights what is possible in life with a positive mindset, a bit of determination and the courage to take that first step.

Jeremy wasn’t only born with a huge hole in his heart, but with an insatiable craving for adventure. His desire to explore the world inspired a move to London. From here, he travelled extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.

Despite seeing so much of the world, he felt there was so much more to explore and on the 5th October 2011, Jeremy began the challenge of a life time, a 2 ½ year, 51,916km solo bicycle ride from London to New Zealand. As he pedalled his way around the planet, Jeremy covered more than enough distance to circumnavigate the earth.

At the completion of that life changing journey, Jeremy wrote his first book “The Long Road From A Broken Heart” and now dedicates his life to inspire others.

This phenomenal journey was made possible thanks to the open-heart surgery which saved his life as a child.

Jeremy is a recipient of the Australian Heart Foundation ‘Heart Hero Award’ and is an Ambassador for Waterline Challenge.

Jeremy has raised over $50,000 for the New Zealand, Australian and British Heart Foundations. He continues to support these charities through speaking engagements and book sales.

Book sales and signing available on the night.

Parking available in the undercroft carpark off Bradshaw Cres.
