Transport Canberra, will be providing a complimentary information session about the benefits of becoming a bus driver on Thursday, 30 June 2022. The information session will be held Ground Floor, 480 Northbourne Avenue, Dickson.
On the day, please arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior and present your ticket(s) in either electronic or paper form to Transport Canberra.
Following the presentation, there will be buses available for attendees to have a look through, sit in the driver cabin and see how it feels!
Attendees will be required to wear face masks during the presentation. Masks will be available at the door if you've forgotten to bring one along with you. There are also a range of other COVID Smart measures in place for attendees. Please talk to the staff for more details.

How to apply?

- Must complete and submit an online application
- You DON’T need a Medium Rigid (MR) licence at the time of application. Transport
- Canberra licence assessors will upgrade your ACT licence as required.
- For applicants based in NSW, obtaining an upgrade to a MR licence will be at the applicants' own cost.

In addition to the written application, what else is required?
- Current resume
- Current 5 years Australian driving history check (interstate or equivariant combination)
- Copy of drivers licence
- Proof of Australian residency (for non-citizens)
- Copy of working with vulnerable People card (WWVP) or proof of application
How long does the training take?
4 weeks full time (22 days) including one Saturday
