Event description
Hear about how to transition to the new fatigue rules

About this event

Fatigue risk management involves operators taking steps to manage increasing levels of fatigue for flight crew so that it does not result in a safety risk.

In September 2019, CASA introduced new fatigue management rules for flight crew. The new rules are in Civil Aviation Order 48.1 Instrument 2019.

Operators should have started planning how they will transition to the new rules. Most operators must comply with the new rules from 1 July 2021.

CASA is running online information sessions to provide an overview of the fatigue rules, discuss what you need to do to transition and explain the minor variation and fatigue risk management system (FRMS) processes. This is a great opportunity to hear from CASA’s fatigue management project staff and find out more about transition.

Register today to join the information session (2pm - 3pm AEST on 17 June 2021).

Registrations close 16 June 2021.
