Transition to Practise Online Forum

Saturday April 18, 2020

9-4pm

Due to current COVID 19 situation, a revised Transition to Practise Forum has been developed. The forum will now be delivered online through livestreaming capabilities. Participants will no longer be able to attend in person and will need to register for a livestreaming ticket.

Who is this forum for?

If you are newly qualified, or an Enrolled or Registered Nursing or Midwifery student who has completed at least 1/3 of your studies then this forum is for you.

What can this forum offer me?

1. A focal presentation on GradConnect will be delivered at multiple times throughout the day. You will receive important tips on how to apply and submit your best application (GradConnect: the centralised recruitment process for graduate nurses and midwives in WA Health)

2. Presentations will be delivered on WA Health and specific areas of workforce need. Hear from workforce experts and past graduates on their experiences working in WA Health.

3. At dedicated times throughout the day a panel of WA health service provider nursing and midwifery recruiters will be participating in an interactive panel, allowing participants to ask questions live.

4. Additional information on opportunities currently available due to Covid-19

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no cost to participate, however registration is essential via a livestreaming ticket

How will the information be delivered?

All presentations will be livestreamed. The web address for the livestreaming will be available once you have registered to attend for a livestreaming ticket.

What if I have already registered to attend in person?

You will need to re-register for a live- streaming ticket

How long is the Forum?

The Transition to Practise Forum will run from 9am-4pm

Participation

All participants accessing the livestreaming presentations will have the ability to ask questions via computer or smartphone through the poll everywhere application. Information on how to do this will be available on the day when you are online.

Do I need to be online for the duration of the forum?

Participants can decide which presentations they would like to listen to and log in and out as they wish. The focal presentation and interactive panel will be delivered three times throughout the day to ensure all students have the ability to hear this important information.
