Event description
The Transderwent Swim is a challenging 1.5km (including a first ever 2x crossing in 2022) swim across the dark waters of the Derwent.

About this event

The Transderwent is one of the feature events of the Royal Hobart Regatta and is on Sunday February 13,  2022. The traditional swim of about 1.5km (45 minutes time limit) across the Derwent River from Montagu Bay to the Regatta Grounds has become a must do for locals as well as interstate/international visitors. The event caters for appoximately 100 swimmers to brave the dark waters of the Derwent River in this challenging swim. In 2022 a Double Derwent swim will also be run immediately following the traditional Transderwent swim.
