COURSE OBJECTIVE

Traffic Control Training – Compliance with Victorian Requirements

The following courses are mandatory for persons wishing to undertake tasks of a traffic controller on a public road or anyone required to read and understand traffic management plans. Through our courses you’ll learn to control traffic safely through and around worksites and set up road signage at a road construction site. Participants will develop the skills and knowledge to control traffic with a stop-slow bat, interpret and implement traffic management plans, communicate effectively & work safely on roads and within the traffic management workplace environment.

Our delivery of traffic control courses is flexible and units can be completed separately or as a combined two-day program.

COMPETENCIES/UNITS

Vicroads requires that RIIWHS205D Control traffic with stop-slow bat have been completed by anyone working as a traffic controller. It is highly recommended that unit RIIWHS302D Implement traffic management plan also be completed for the obtainment of work in the traffic control industry. Our course offers training and accreditation for both of these units

Wallet Sized Traffic Control Competency Card
Qualification is valid for three (3) years
COURSE DELIVERY:

Flexible delivery; both units can be delivered as one 2-day course or broken up into two separate one day courses.

This course can be delivered to accommodate learning styles and various employment arrangements

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Participants must be 16 years of age or older

Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, driver’s licence, proof of age card, student card).

To safely perform practical activities, participants are required to wear comfortable closed in shoes.

Participants should arrive 15 - minutes prior the scheduled starting time of the course to the complete necessary registration paperwork.

To complete the course assessments, the basic understanding of reading and writing English is required.

Some criminal convictions in the past 5 years may exclude you from obtaining accreditation (contact us for further details if required)

Must hold a General Safety Induction (White Card)
