Description

Learn about the history of string bag making and be guided through the process of creating your own unique bag with members of the Orange Fibre Artists Group.

Over three sessions participants will learn to:

  • select and prepare natural fibres, including native plants

  • make cordage

  • use the loop stitch technique

No experience necessary! Enjoy learning new skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.


Sessions run 5:30pm-7:30pm on:

  • Thur 16 May 2019

  • Thur 23 May 2019

  • Thur 30 May 2019

Tickets $75, covers cost for all three sessions, notes and materials

Friends of Orange Regional Museum/Friends of Orange Regional Gallery tickets $56

Refreshments provided

Limited places, bookings essential

This workshop is designed for adults and may also be suitable for interested older children.

This workshops is presented in partnership between Orange Regional Gallery and Orange Regional Museum.
