Raised in New Zealand to the tunes of his dad's barbershop quartet - the candy red stripes run deep in Jono's blood. During high school he started cutting friend's hair in exchange for lunch money. It wasn't long before both his skills, and the quality of his lunches, improved.

At the age of 19, Jono landed his first job in a shop that focused on modern barbering. Tracks, line ups, and fades shaped his early career and personal style. In 2020, Jono found himself in Rotterdam, learning the classics from the lads at Schorem. Now a Reuzel Scumbassador, Jono spreads the greasy gospel of traditional barbering.
