Tour of the Map Collection
Event Information
Description
The University Library's Rare and Historical Maps Collection was established more than 50 years ago. During that time a collection of some 8,000 rare maps and atlases has been built up. The current Curator will introduce visitors to the collection and its purpose within the University, and then show some of the vast collection of rare material within the closed storage area. This is a rare opportunity to see inside this academic cartographic collection and its mysteries. Time will be made available for questions afterwards.
