Event description
Andrew Clark of Total Dog Specialist Canine Services will be hitting Adelaide in August 2021 for not just 1, but 2 seminars.

About this event

Seminar 1 - Safe Dog Handling, Apprehension and Bite Prevention (Saturday 6 November 2021, 9.00am to 5.00pm)

This seminar will cover:

⏺ Canine behaviour drives,

⏺ Visual indicators to a dog’s mindset,

⏺ Body language and hormonal release,

⏺ Approaching unfamiliar dogs,

⏺ Correct utilisation of protective equipment,

⏺ Correct utilisation of poles, snares, muzzles and leads,

⏺ Defensive tactics for attacking dogs,

⏺ Apprehending aggressive dogs,

⏺ Injured dogs.

So come all – students, trainers, vet nurses, groomers, dog walkers, day care attendants, council workers, delivery contractors, and meter readers.

Seminar 2 - Behaviour Problems in Dogs (Sunday 7 November 2021, 9.00am to 5.000pm)

This seminar will discuss a range of behaviour problems primarily related to:

⏺ Fear,

⏺ Anxiety,

⏺ Canine obsessive-compulsive disorder, and

⏺ Aggression.

Andrew will share his extensive knowledge and expertise in understanding and addressing these complex behavioural issues. The seminar will include case studies and a limited number of dog spots. A dog spot means selected participants can bring their dog and have Andrew work with them.

Dog spot information and an opportunity to apply for a dog spot will be sent to all registrants for this seminar. There will be no additional cost for a dog spot, but a brief application is required. Andrew will review the applications and select a small number of dogs prior to the seminar. Conditions will apply (eg must be fully crate trained).

Single Seminar $195 or book both for $295!

Group bookings also available.

Andrew is the largest provider of Safe Dog Handling and Bite Prevention Workshops in NSW and the ACT and is highly sought after in Qld and Vic. He currently services over 70 Councils, state and Federal Government Agencies, Schools, community groups and dog industry professionals. To say that we are super lucky that Andrew is keen to share his knowledge and years of experience with South Australia, is an understatement.

Andrew is a lecturer with the National Dog Trainers Federation and specialises in behaviour problems, high level training and working dogs and has been professionally training dog owners for many years.

Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in fresh new knowledge and skills. These workshops are relevant to upcoming industry folk, dog industry professionals, dog geeks and dedicated owners, providing in-depth insight into some very important aspects of living and working with dogs.

This is a catered event with refreshments and a light lunch provided. Please indicate any special dietary requirements in your registration and we will do our best to cater for you.
