Event description
Part of the ANU College of Law's 2020 HDR Training Program, presented by Research Skills & Training

About this Event

All workshops will be held in the Phillipa Weeks Library, ANU Law School, on the last Friday of the month from 11am (immediately preceding the HDR Lunch). Remote access via Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.

Why do things sometimes go wrong between HDR students and their supervisors? Often, it is mismatched expectations that cause tensions in this crucial relationship. This workshop offers ways of avoiding common problems, so that you can succeed in your studies. We critically examine the rights and responsibilities of both HDR students and supervisors and establish how to negotiate good outcomes for everyone.
