Four-part workshop series

Build on the basics of creative writing by delving deeper into the elements of storytelling. Over four weeks, explore plot, setting, characterisation and dialogue and fill your writer’s toolbox with tips and tricks to strengthen your voice and create engaging stories. Learn from readings and class discussions, complete practical activities, and begin to build your creative network from your class of peers.
What you will learn:
Continuing on from Introduction to Creative Writing, participants will develop an enhanced understanding of creative writing for fiction and nonfiction, including:
Plot and Structure
Characterisation and Dialogue
Setting and Themes
Point of View and Voice
About Catherine Moller
Catherine Moller is a Brisbane-based editor and writer of speculative fiction. In 2015, she graduated with a Master of Arts (Writing, Editing and Publishing) from the University of Queensland, where her graduate dissertation examined representations of diversity in fantasy cartography. In addition to publishing, Catherine has a background in medical administration and customer service, and has worked across a number of Australian publishing and arts organisations, including the Brisbane Writers Festival, UQP, Harper Collins, and Origo Education.
