Achieving independence with toileting is a milestone in any childs life and involves the development of a complex range of physical, communication, self-care and social skills.
This 1 hour information session will provide an introduction to toilet training with an overview of typical developement , preparation for toilet training and toilet training methods.
Facilitated by Debbie Atkins an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience. Debbie has worked within a community based early intervention service in particular with children with developmental difficuties. She has a special interest in the promotion of toilet training with active involvement in parent education programs and the developement of resources to support toilet training.
Debbie will be available for questions following her talk.
