Event description
From multi-award-winning comedian Alex Hines (Channel 10, ABC, The Groundlings, UCB) comes a psycho-cosmic fantasia of Australiana nostalgia

About this event

It’s 2005. Alex is in hell, an angsty teen wishing for magic in a cul de sac. Divine intervention strikes when her doppelgänger, Schapelle Corby, appears on the TV. Tethered to her spirit double, Alex’s reality splits and she spirals into a world of chaos.

From multi-award-winning comedian Alex Hines (Channel 10, ABC, The Groundlings, UCB, The Second City) comes a psycho-cosmic fantasia of Australiana nostalgia. Set to the soundtrack of the 2000s this is an irreverent homage to the millennials’ Ned Kelly.

To Schapelle and Back is based on a true story, inspired by Alex's real life friendship with the iconic Schapelle Corby. (Alex is the proud owner of an original handmade clock gifted to her by Schapelle. It is her most treasured possession.)

"Hines’ performance is flawless. ★★★★★" Theatre People

"Car crashingly compelling both piercing and funny. ★★★★★" The Daily Review

Directed by Sarah Stafford.
