About this event

Mark Olsen, CEO of Tourism Tropical North Queensland, invites you to a Tourism Towards 2032 in TNQ workshop to develop and co-design our future vision for tourism in your region.

Tablelands Regional Council at 9am - 12pm on Friday 19 May.

We have appointed consultant Krista Hauritz to facilitate the workshop; she has a wealth of experience in tourism management and community engagement.

During this session, we will discuss the following:

1. Where we've been?

  • Visitor numbers
  • What type of visitors we're currently attracting?
  • What worked and hasn't worked in your destination?

2. Where are we going?

  • Consumer trends
  • What type of visitors do we want to attract in the future?

3. How do we get there?

What are the critical factors to success? This can be anything from experience/product development, attracting new markets or building new infrastructure to help support tourism growth.

4. What is next?

TTNQ is carrying out this session across Tropical North Queensland. From your feedback, and with the help of your Local Tourism Organisation or Local Government representative, Krista will work on a plan to define your specific region's long-term vision and ensure all the community and stakeholders are committed to the deliverables with an agreed understanding of what success looks like.

Should your attendance availability change, you can cancel or modify your ticket through your Eventbrite account until registrations close.
