Event description

Description

A half-day masterclass co-run by TNA and TNN which examines both NSW and federal advocacy approaches with the aim of assisting the delegates, and the sector more broadly, to determine future advocacy goals. Guest facilitator Neil Pharaoh is an expert campaigner and strategist.

“Both myself and Artistic Director Rachael Maza attended TNA’s Advocacy Masterclass with Neil Pharaoh, in 2016, and it was an incredibly useful half day – mind-blowing actually. Neil managed to make us realise how little we knew about real advocacy, but in a way that felt empowering and respectful. He gave us really practical tips and starting points, and made us feel, as a group, that we could actually achieve change. We have since used our newfound skills for the organisation itself, and in our role as leaders on behalf of the small to medium sector.”
