FEBRUARY: Mini-beast Magic! (3, 10, 17, 24 February)
To coincide with the AM's Spiders - Alive and Deadly exhibition, Tiny Tots will be getting down and dirty with mini-beasts we find in our backyards. Children and their parents or carers will have fun dipnetting in our pond sensory tub and find critters amongst leaf litter using brushes.
MARCH: Welcome to Autumn - Weather Wizards (3, 10, 17, 24, 31 March) Children may begin to notice the weather is starting to change. It is becomming cooler, wetter, windier - perfect for jumping in puddles, crunching autumn leaves and flying kites! In this special Tiny-Tots, children and their parents or carers will float on cloud 9 sculpting clouds out of shaving cream, create the sound of rain, thunder and wind with percussion instruments and decorate windmills.
APRIL: I wish I could fly! Bats and Birds (7, 21 April)
Is a bat a bird? Both have wings and can fly but bats and birds are very different. To coincide with Australasian bat night, this Tiny Tots will see children and their parents or carers sort and classify animals according to features such as fur or feathers, look at eggs and nests and paint using feathers.
