Be a part of Australia's only fully funded paediatric first aid course!

We will empower you with the vital knowledge and skills of first aid, as well as teach you what the best action is to take in an emergency situation.

Your course will be funded by the South East Melbourne Primary Health Network and through these courses, we hope to increase health literacy and reduce the burden on our communities emergency care services.

Courses are engaging, fun and run by qualified paramedics and nurses!

Topics covered:

- Primary Survey: DRSABCD

- Care of an unconscious person

- Choking

- Fevers

- Febrile Convulsions

- Burns

- Drowning

- Bleeding

- Bites and Stings

- Head Injuries

- Q + A time

- And more!

A 10-minute break will also be included in the course.

Please note:

  • The venue is at the Sandringham Junior Campus. The training will be conducted in the Discovery Centre Auditorium and classrooms DC02 & DC03, please follow the signage when you arrive.

  • Parking: Best parking is available from Lawson Parade and is located on the school campus. Street parking is also available.

  • Doors close at 9 am SHARP. If you arrive after 9 am you will not be allowed into the session, so please be sure to get there 10 minutes early.

  • Availability of food and drink may be limited. We recommend bringing along a drink bottle and snack if needed throughout the 3.5 hour period.

Babies + Children at sessions:

We would also love to remind everyone who has registered for the session, or who are thinking about registering, that due to space and facility restrictions we cannot have children or newborns attend.

If finding someone to mind your bub is not an option we encourage you to come along to one of our monthly courses held in South Yarra. This venue has more than enough room for your children and has sufficient feeding and changing facilities. You can register for those sessions via our website at
