Description

To celebrate the release of his latest film clip 'Rest', Tim Solly is heading back to one of his favourite Melbourne venues The Wesley Anne. Tim will be joined on the night by 2017 ‘Toyota Star Maker’ grand finalist Andrew Swift!

From a theatrical background, Tim Solly is bringing a magnetic performance style and raw emotive storytelling to his Alt-Country shows. His deep and distinctive baritone has likened him to Johnny Cash and Tex Perkins and his unique storytelling is taking crowds on a journey through love, loss and the search for identity. With a recent sold out national tour and appearances at Tamworth and Whittlesea Country Music Festivals, it is clear to see why Tim Solly is quickly garnering praise as one of Australia's edgiest new entertainers.

“Solly’s performance is compelling, and his presence fills the room… his dark heart beats with great passion.” - Cicely Binford, Xpress Mag

Since finding his musical home in Australia’s country music scene, fire-faced troubadour & 2017 ‘Toyota Star Maker’ grand finalist Andrew Swift has been working to satisfy the desires of his restless heart. Clocking up the kilometres with his pint sized caravan in tow, Swift has been taking his show to the people up and down the east coast and beyond including shows with some of the country’s finest including Shane Nicholson, Catherine Britt, Amber Lawrence, Adam Eckersley & Lachlan Bryan to name a few.

Thinking outside the square, in January of 2017, Swift paired up with Melbourne’s finest americana songstress, Gretta Ziller. Together they took an intimate show displaying their songwriting, storytelling and laughter to the families holidaying in caravan parks along the coasts of Victoria an New South Wales as they made their way to the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

In-between tours Swift has been working on his sophomore album with Matt Fell at Love HZ studios in Sydney, which is due for completion and release early 2018.

"A powerful, soulful voice with a seemingly huge range, that sets him apart from his contemporaries" - Lachlan Bryan, Mint Magazine

“Swift really has a great gift for depicting time and place in his lyrics and the emotions that go with them. This is a man with a very positive and exciting musical career ahead of him.” – Neil Evans tonedeaf.com.au
