Therapeutic Innovation Australia is the lead agent for the Translating Health Discoveries project under the Australian Department of Education and Training’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
On July 1st 2019, TIA put in place a new organisational structure composed of three Therapeutic Areas including networks of facilities that assist in development of new Small Molecule, Biologic and Cell & Gene therapeutics. TIA is holding a forum to:

Communicate TIA’s Strategic Plan and initiatives

Present a showcase of the translational capabilities available to researchers from academia and industry to assist therapeutic development projects.

Enable discussions on how therapeutic development research infrastructure can support the sector

Program:
Day 1 will be composed of showcase presentations from TIA-supported facilities, as well as two invited speakers on the current and future landscape for therapeutic development. The program will include facilitated discussions on what TIA could look like in 2025, in order to fulfil its mission to enable and accelerating the translation of research discoveries by investing in world class research infrastructure facilities.
Day 2 will be open only to TIA-supported Facilities and will focus on operational planning, education and workforce development, discussions of the TIA Annual Business Plan planning, reporting requirements and preparing for future NCRIS investment plans.
