Throsby community garden workshop
Event Information
About this Event
Adjacent to the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary, the proposed Throsby community garden aims to provide an opportunity for the people of Throsby and surrounding suburbs to connect and learn about gardening, the local environment and each other. Click here to read frequently asked questions about the proposed garden.
Throsby community garden workshop is a facilitated event where people can share ideas, concerns and aspirations around this proposal. Discussions at the workshop will be informed by previous engagement activities. We thank everyone who took part in our survey to gauge community interest in the garden. Click here to see a snapshot of the survey results.
To draw on the expertise and thoughts of our broader community, we invite you to send us your ideas on what could work and what might not work in a community garden at Throsby.
One of the best ways to do this is to show us in pictures – it could be a photo you have taken, or something you have seen online. It might be a great example of other community gardens or perhaps some not so successful things we should avoid.
Click here to share your image on YourSay. You will need to log in to post your image. If you would prefer not to log in, please email your image to mingle@act.gov.au with the subject line: Throsby garden thoughts. You can also share a few words about your image.
The Throsby community garden workshop will take place online and in person simultaneously. Light refreshments will be provided for those who attend the Forde Community Centre. Please click here to register if you prefer to attend online.
