Thinking Green: Low Cost Gardening (Ellenbrook)
Event Information
About this Event
Please note that this is a program for adults, and is a presentation. Attendees will receive a small take home seed starter kit.
Presented by Fiona Blackham, this workshop shares practical ways to garden on a budget, including seed saving, cuttings, turning green-waste into garden beds, and using recycled materials to build with or grow in. Understand the basic tools to use and where to get them from.
There will also be a demonstration on how to make a great compost tea for your garden, how to plant for your needs so you can avoid waste, and where to go to trade your extra produce. Please bring along a clean glass jar with a lid (up to 500ml), to swap for a jar of compost tea. Also bring along any seeds you want to swap!
In accordance with hygiene requirements, social distancing will be maintained throughout this program and hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use.
Please book in as spaces are limited. For all inquiries contact Ellenbrook Community Library on (08) 9207 8787.
